S
cott Tate’s influence and experience led to his role in facilitating
the merger of the St. Charles and St. Peters Chambers of
Commerce, creating the Greater St. Charles County Chamber
of Commerce in 2012, now the region’s second largest chamber.
With a combined total of 16 years at the chamber, he became
president and CEO in December 2004. Under his leadership, in 2009,
the St. Charles Chamber was recognized by the Missouri Chamber of
Commerce and Industry as Missouri’s Chamber of the Year.
Scott is a board member for St. Charles Crimestoppers and Chamber
of Commerce Executives of Missouri, a member of St. Charles Rotary,
and represents the Greater St. Charles County Chamber on the city’s
Economic Development Commission and Convention and Visitors
Bureau Commission, where he serves as chair.
Scott was awarded a Junior Chamber International Senatorship in
2006, was recognized by “Saint Charles Business Magazine” as one of St.
Charles County’s 40 Under 40 in 2007, and by the Missouri Jaycees as an
Outstanding Young Missourian in 2009. He was recognized in 2012 by
“Small Business Monthly” as one of the Top 100 St. Louisians to Know.
Scott graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 1995 with a
bachelor’s of science degree in business administration and marketing.
He enjoys bicycling, hiking, volunteering, traveling, technological
gadgets, craft beer, and spending time with friends and family.
