or more than 20 years at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, DiAnne
L. Mueller has provided leadership, oversight and supervision
for five crisis nurseries, eight outreach centers and the regional
administrative offices.
During that time, the organization’s capacity has expanded over 50
percent, with the capability of simultaneously providing nurturing care
to 47 children, 24-hour helpline support to parents, and operating 24
hours a day, seven days a week, caring for more than 7,500 children.
DiAnne is a champion for children, lending her expertise to others
on crisis nursery program start-ups across the nation. She provides
valuable insights on “best practices model” and delivering a “cutting
edge” program serving children and families in the community.
She is a licensed professional counselor with a master’s in counseling
from Drake University. Her experience includes work as a correctional
counselor; clinical consultant in the development of a sexual abuse
treatment program, psychotherapist and family therapist.
She serves as president of the St. Charles County Family Stress
Council, is a member of the Domestic Violence Board in St. Charles,
the American Association of Counseling and Development, the St.
Louis Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, and the Human Services
Community Advisory Board.
DiAnne has been honored with the St. Charles County Heroes
Mental Health Award, the Health & Human Services Outstanding
Service Award, and the Woman of Achievement Award, among others.
DiAnne and her husband, Chris, are parents to three adult children
and reside in St. Charles.
