PUBLISHER'S NOTE
Onward
and Upward
F
irst, thank you to all of our guests who attended “Gazelle STL’s” third anniversary party
at Jet Linx. It was a special night for our team as we got to say thank you and mingle with
our readers and advertising partners, many of whom have been with us from our very
first issue in 2014.
As we move onward and upward, we marvel at the changes that have happened
in the world since our inception. We have seen tons of retail store closures nationwide as more
consumers opt for the convenience of online shopping. St. Louis is hard hit because before the
brick-and-mortar department store crisis, we were already limited in shopping options. Incidentally,
this changing shopping climate has been a positive for “Gazelle STL.” When we created a magazine
that focused on fashion, beauty and lifestyle, we had an inclination that shopping habits were on the
verge of major change, but had no idea that the change would happen as rapidly as it has.
What does it mean for “Gazelle STL” as a fashion and lifestyle brand? It means that we have
rapidly grown into the go-to expert on what’s new, what’s trending and what the rest of the world
is focused on. We have become the voice that influences the St. Louis woman’s shopping habits.
When you see it in “Gazelle,” it means you are looking at the latest: the clothes that are in style now,
the beauty products that are hitting the market now and the lifestyle trends that are - or should be
- influencing your home and work now.
In a nutshell, “Gazelle STL” works with the top global brands in fashion, beauty and lifestyle to
keep St. Louis in style. We may not be New York or Los Angeles, but we have our own community
of sassy, sophisticated, savvy women. That is something to be proud of.
Sincerely,
Cillah Hall
