T Tinashe CELEBRITY BEAUTY MOMENT DIVERSITY IN BEAUTY 32 GAZELLE STL he platinum-selling singer, songwriter and producer, Tinashe, is the epitome of diversity and self-expression, with her unique background and ever-evolving style and career choices. Her father is an immigrant from Zimbabwe (first generation), and her mother is of  Danish,  Norwegian and English descent. The family moved to Los Angeles from Lexington, Kentucky, to support Tinashe’s dream of a career in the entertainment business. She attended high school for a year, finishing early to pursue a full-time career in music, later signing with RCA Records.  Tinashe began studying ballet, tap and jazz dancing at the age of 4, and continued to compete in various styles as a part of a dance company until she was 18. John Frieda recognizes that for Tinashe, and for all women, hair is a form of self-expression, a reflection of their personalities and power.
