Darius Bradford is a native of University City, who delivers his own brand of humor as a stand-up comedian and as a writer for others like Cedric the Entertainer. He has appeared on (and written for) BET’s “The Bad Boys of Comedy,” “Comicview” and most recently, “1st Amendment Stand Up,” among others, and has appeared on stage at many local venues. 92 GAZELLE Cameo calls for pretty ladies around the world, or so it says in the band’s top hit “Word Up!” released in 1986. But Cameo has been funky for much longer than that. The group made its debut with the 1977 album “Cardiac Arrest,” before becoming known for its irresistible style of dance music.
