Du 4 juillet au 15 octobre 2017 Cette exposition consacrée à Sonia Delaunay sera la première qui se tient en Espagne, au Musée Thyssen- Bornemisza. Sonia Delaunay-Terk( 1885 – 1979), artiste d’ origine russe, fut une figure clé de la première avant-garde parisienne. Avec son mari, le peintre Robert Delaunay, elle entreprit une aventure artistique qui, basée sur les contrastes de couleur et la dissolution de la forme à travers la lumière, les conduisit jusqu’ à l’ abstraction. Peintures, dessins de mode et textiles nous inviteront à découvrir ses collaborations innovantes avec des poètes et des scénographes. L’ exposition accorde en plus une attention particulière à la période à laquelle l’ artiste et sa famille résidèrent à Madrid. I www. museothyssen. org
Sonia Delaunay-Terk: Art, design and fashion
The Thyssen Museum presents the first monographic exhibition in Spain by Sonia Delaunay-Terk( 1885-1979). The French painter and designer of Ukrainian origins, together with her husband, the painter Robert Delaunay, were key representatives of the first Parisian avant-garde. Their artistic adventure was based on colour contrasts and the dissolution of form through light. The exhibition displays paintings and designs for clothes and textiles, as well as her innovative collaborations with poets or set designers. Particular attention will also be paid to the period when the artist and her family lived in Madrid. I www. museothyssen. org
