1957-2017 : The Tunisian Republic celebrates its 60th anniversary !
- 1957 2017 : الجمهورية التونسية تحتفل بالذكرى الستّين لنشأتها
On 25th of July , 1957 , the Tunisian Constituent Assembly , presided over by Jallouli Fares , announced the abolition of the monarchy and proclaimed the Republic . Lamine Bey , the last Bey of Tunis , was put under house arrest , and Habib Bourguiba became the first President of the Tunisian Republic . A historic day for Tunisia !
This historic date was preceded by March 20th , 1956 , when a new agreement abrogated 1881 Bardo Treaty and recognized Tunisia as an entirely sovereign constitutional monarchy . The first legislative elections in Tunisian history , organized on March 25 , gave a large victory to the Neo-Destour . On April 8th , Habib Bourguiba was elected President of the first Tunisian National Assembly and was appointed Prime Minister on April 11th . The Assembly planned to adopt a constitution transferring the legislative powers to the Tunisian people . On November 12th , 1956 , Tunisia was admitted to the United Nations .
At the end of these feats of arms , the National Constituent Assembly decided on July 25th , 1957 , the total abolition of the monarchical regime and the proclamation of the Republic . It thus abolished all monarchical power . Bourguiba was immediately appointed provisional President of Tunisia , then was elected first president of the Republic of Tunisia on November 8th , 1959 . يوم 25 جويلية / يوليو ، 1957 قرّر المجلس التأسيسي التونسي ، برئاسة جلّولي فارس ، إلغاء النظام الملكي وإعلان الجمهورية . وضع الأمين باي ، آخر بايات تونس ، تحت الإقامة
، الجبرية وأصبح الحبيب بورقيبة رئيسا للجمهورية التونسية ! إنّه ليوم تاريخي بالنسبة لتونس
هذا اليوم التاريخي سبقه يوم 20 مارس1956 ، يوم حصول اتفاق جديد يلغي معاهدة باردو الموقع عليها عام ، 1881 ويعترف بتونس كدولة ملكية دستورية تحظى بسيادتها الكاملة . الانتخابات التشريعية الأولى في تاريخ تونس انتظمت يوم 25 مارس وأفضت إلى انتصار عريض للحزب الحرّ الدستوري التونسي . يوم 8 أفريل ، انتخب الحبيب بورقيبة رئيسا لأوّل مجلس وطني تأسيسي تونسي ، وعيّن وزيرا أكبر يوم 11 أفريل ، وكان من المقدّ ر أن يصادق المجلس على دستور يحوّ ل السلطات التشريعية إلى الشعب التونسي . في 12 نوفمبر ، 1956 تمّ قبول تونس عضوا في منظمة الأمم
. المتحدة
بعد هذه النجاحات الباهرة ، قرر المجلس الوطني التأسيسي يوم 25 جويلية / يوليو 1957 إلغاء النظام الملكي إلغاء تامّا وإعلان الجمهورية . وبذلك ألغيت كلّ السلطات
، الملكية . وفورا ، عيّن بورقيبة رئيسا مؤقتا للجمهورية ، ثمّ انتخب في 8 نوفمبر1959 رئيسا أوّل للجمهورية التونسية . وتحتفل تونس هذه السنة بالذكرى الستين لإعلان
