you for the gay community. Tell us how you
were invited to be one of the official partici-
pants of Vallarta Pride 2014
SM: My history with Vallarta started
many years ago from BALCONES and even
to STEREO Bar, where I had the good fortu-
ne to meet one of the young entrepreneurs
of Puerto Vallarta, Edgar Sanchez, who has
introduced me to the new gay scene of Va-
llarta, Edgar invited me to the first Vallarta
Parade in 2013 and I didn’t think twice!
And practically knocking door by door,
we invited people to come to this amazing

ta, more united and with all the energy and
wishes to maintain itself as one of the main
LGBT tourist destinations in the country.
We knew that you had a special show
with your fabulous characterization of La
Doña. How did you get the idea to create this
character?
SM: It came from an admiration for
a human being that, despite of having
everything against her - from being a stut-
terer and flat-footed - faced society and
took big efforts to burst into international
show business using a tool that she called
‘beauty’. Maria Felix was a clear example
of how to be a phoenix.
