aleria Pacifico is starting its 26th year as one of Puerto Vallarta ’ s leading art galleries . It was opened in November 1987 by its owner / director , Gary Thompson with the intention of showcasing some of GALERÍA the most talented painters and sculptors working in Mexico .

Although the gallery has included a few select ITS 26th foreign artists in residence , the major focus has YEAR AS ONE always been to highlight Mexican artists from around OF PUERTO the country . Some have relocated to the Vallarta area VALLARTA ’ S and include local favorite Brewster Brockmann as LEADING ART well as Hugo Barajas , Luis Espiridion , Mathis Li-GALLERIEdice , Roberto Vazquez , and the late master , Ramiz

Barquet , who created eight monumental sculptures around town including the famous couple on the bench on the Malecon , “ Nostalgia .” Another sculptor represented is the American artist , Jim Demetro , who created the popular “ Vallarta Dancers ” on the extension of the Malecon .
