Footwear?
La oportunidad de emprender en la
industria del calzado surgió gracias
a un amigo de mi pareja. Él lleva
muchos años con su marca y nos
dijo: ¡aviéntense, yo los ayudo!
How was Salvador Núñez
Footwear born?
The opportunity to start in the
footwear industry came about
thanks to a friend of my partner.
He has been with his brand for
many years and he told us: go for
it, I’ll help you!
Salvador Núñez takes great
advantage of every opportunity
and has surprised us with
his many talents. Over time
he has been diversifying his
brand and showing new facets
of his personality through his
projects. At the end of last year
he launched his shoe brand, so
we took advantage of his trip to
Quintana Roo to ask him a couple
of questions about the concept
of Salvador Núñez Footwear and
what inspired him to enter the
world of footwear.
How did you pick the first
models?
We decided to start with a
collection of 5 tennis models
with a tropical touch that could
be used in the city and on the
beach, and 3 colors of shoes that
could be classic but at the same
time daring. For this we used a
translucent patent leather that
always looks different, depending
on the light that hits it.

en grande cada oportunidad
y nos ha sorprendido con sus
muchos talentos. Con el tiempo
ha ido diversificando su marca
y mostrando nuevas facetas
de su personalidad a través de
sus proyectos. A finales del año
pasado lanzó su marca de zapatos,
por lo que aprovechamos su viaje a
Quintana Roo para hacerle un par
de preguntas sobre el concepto de
Salvador Núñez Footwear y lo que
lo inspiró a adentrar al mundo del
calzado.

To what do you attribute your
love for shoes?
To Carrie Bradshaw! Sarah
Jessica Parker had to do with
this. On the other hand, I have
always been very detail-oriented.
I think that a pair of shoes can be
practically a work of art that tells
the story of who wears it.
How do you define the style of
the brand?
Cool, classic and daring.

¿Cómo elegiste los primeros
modelos?
Decidimos comenzar con una
colección de 5 modelos de tenis
con un toque tropical que pudieran
usarse en la ciudad y en la playa, y
3 colores de zapatos que pudieran
ser clásicos pero a la vez atrevidos.
Para esto utilizamos un charol
traslúcido que siempre se ve
diferente, dependiendo de la luz
que incida en él.
¿A qué le atribuyes tu amor por
los zapatos?
¡A Carrie Bradshaw! Sarah Jessica
Parker tuvo que ver en esto. Por
otro lado, siempre he sido amante
de los detalles. Pienso que un
zapato puede ser prácticamente
una obra de arte que cuente la
historia de quien lo lleva puesto.

marca?
