Life ’ s a Journey
You could blame the world for all your woes You could say the world has done you wrong You could say the road you travelled Was too wide and far too long .
You could say there were too many crossroads And that signposts were never clear You could say there were too many obstacles And that you would rather not be here .
You could say your road was ripped and cracked You could say your feet were sore and torn You could say your father was a drunken sod Who drank from dusk till dawn .
You can make excuses till the sun goes down But the truth is it ’ s up to you You can wallow in the darkness Or you can fly in skies of blue .
Life really is a journey , my son A journey we all must take But whether we make it to the end Depend on the decisions that we make
There ’ s a road that ’ s short and narrow And there ’ s a road that ’ s wide and long And it depends on you and only you Which one you travel on !
A poem from the heart by Gavin Atkinson .
