Every year two( or sometimes three) trees are chosen as trees of the year, in an effort to encourage all South Africans to plant indigenous trees. Arbor Week will be celebrated from 4 to 10 September, so this is the time of year that thought turns to care of the trees in our environment, as well as to planting new trees as part of sustainable environmental management.
