How is the Height Measured? According to CTBUH, three height categories are recognized. 1. Height to Architectural Top This includes spires but not antennae, signage, flagpoles or other function technical equipment. This is the most widely used category to rank the world’s tallest buildings. 2. Height to Highest Occupied Floor The finished floor level of the highest occupiable floor within the building. 3. Height to Tip To the highest point of the building. Super Tall and Mega Tall? Recently,there have been more than many numbers of buildings that fit into the definition of a skyscraper. To distinguish the remarkable structures from other skyscrapers, CTBUH has introduced two categories as ‘Super Tall Buildings’ and ‘Mega Tall Buildings’. Super Tall Buildings rise more than 300m (984 feet) and there are 148 supertall buildings recognized by the CTBUH in the world.
