Gatorland  Mini-‐Golf  Spectacular     People   came   out   in   droves   for   the   Gatorland   Mini-‐Golf   Spectacular   on   Tuesday,   June   3rd   and   Wednesday,  June  4th.    Students  worked  for  10  weeks  to  design  and  create  the  mini-‐golf  course  that   was  on  display.  Technology  Education  teachers  Mr.  Better  and  Mr.  Emmett  joined  forces  with  their   students   to   transform   the   football   field   into   a   challenging   20-‐hole   course   that   stumped   many   and   was  triumphed  by  only  a  few  brave  and  hearty  souls.    Ultimately,  win  or  lose,  everyone  had  a  great   time  and  now  we  can’t  wait  to  see  what  they  come  up  with  for  next  year’s  project!    This  venture,   which  would  not  have  been  possible  otherwise,  was  sponsored  by  many  local  businesses  as  well  as   families  with  personal  donations.            Gateway   would   like   to   thank:   The   Home   Depot;   Five   Guys;   Visionary   Brands;   Young’s   Cleaners;   Ellenby   Tech;   Glendora   VFW   Post   8714;   Big   Swing   Golf   Center;   Dave   and   Busters;   BTB   Builders;   Bouncing  Birthdays;  Sprague’s  Auto;  Hawk’s  Corner  Deli;  Archer’s  Airport  Service;  Cornerstone  Quick   Lube;   MIG;   Ragnor   Rodeo;   Boggs   Auto;   National   Guard;   Avon;   VFW   Post   5579;   Fayette   Family,   Berenato  Family,  Mr.  Kevin  Bradley  (Eastern  HS  Tech  Ed);  Bertagnolli  Family;  Bashar  Family;  Spissell   Family;   Emmet   Family;   Leahy   Family,   Mrs.   Evans;   Dylan   Coates,   and   Mrs.   Gale   for   their   generous   contributions.              Following  are  pictures  commemorating  the  two-‐day  event.     Senior   Mike   Pestrak   (l)   and   dad   had  a  great  time  challenging  one   another   on   the   spooky   red-‐eye   trap   at   Gator   Golf.     The   course,   which   looks   easy,   is   a   little   more   on   the   difficult   side   than   you   would  imagine.               This  hole  was  designed  to  look  like   gator   scales.     Just   when   you   thought   it   was   safe   to   go   back   in   the   swamp…Students   and   parents   had   a   great   time   with   these   golf   games.   What   looks   so   easy   is   really   deceiving.
