Gateway  Congratulates  National  Honor  Society  Inductees     On   May   21st,   Gateway’s   chapter   of   the   National   Honor   Society   (NHS)   inducted   53   new   members   during   the   traditional   candlelight   ceremony.     Retired   Gateway   Latin   teacher,   Mrs.   Penny   Cipolone   was  the  guest  speaker  at  the  affair.    Advisors  Mrs.  Christina  Gailliout  and  Ms  Dana  Layng  welcomed   everyone.     Current   NHS   members   also   gave   their   interpretation   of   the   qualities   that   all   National   Honor   Society   members   must   exhibit.     Caroline   McAnally   spoke   about   character;   Megan   Wenner   spoke  about  service;  Morgan  Fell  spoke  on  Leadership;  and  Matthew  Spissell  spoke  on  scholarship.   The  new  inductees  included:   Class  of  2014   Samantha   Dominy,   Anna   Dougherty,   Nicole   Dybus,   Wynne   Galczynski,   Chelsea   Hughes,   Sophia   Morris,   Chloe   Patrick,   Charles   Poirier,   Madison   Royal,   Ryan   Sole,   Matthew   Sparks   and   Angelina   Villari   Class  of  2015   Anika  Akhter,  Abdullah  Al-­‐Habshi,  Isabella  Armento,  Alexandra  Astorga,  Kendle  Benatti,  Miranda   Braun,  Amanda  Craig,  Lisa  Devereaux,  Nazrul  Islam,  Jacqueline  Lloyd,  Jennifer  Mulqueen,  Vanesa   Reeves,  Haley  Schellenger,  Emily  Sheridan,  Gina  Torres,  Lana  Valente  and  Logan  Zupko   Class  of  2016   Logan   Bersani,   McKenna   Caswell,   Dylan   Coates,   Leah   Cohen,   Nicholas   Cooper,   Vincent   DeFrancesco,   Christian   Dugan,   Jack   Eckstein,   Karlee   Fleming,   Rachel   Flynn,   Justin   Fredhoff,   Matthew  Funk,  Mark  Hausman,Austin  Holmstrom,  Maggie  Joyce,  Hannah  Malfitano,  Marie  McKee,   Robert  Michaelchuck,  Lawrence  Pye,  Alexa  Rovello,  Nova  Scafide,   Lea  Triantafillou,  Julia  Weikart   and  Sarah  Zuzulock   Following   the   candle   lighting   and   pledge   ceremony,   Gateway’s   principal,   Mr.   Steve   Hindman   and   NHS   president,   Jennifer   Roethke   awarded   certificates   and   pins   to   the   inductees.     Mr.   Hindman   congratulated  the  inductees  and  their  selections.    Public  Relations  Officer,  Nicole  Brown  concluded   the  evening  by  extending  thanks  to  all  the  contributors.
