To
Work
Day

“Take
Your
Child
To
Work
Day”.
Children
were
welcomed
with
open
arms
as
they
attended
specially
designated
activities
for
their
day.
They
created
their
own
individual
pizzas
in
the
morning,
which
they
later
enjoyed
for
lunch.
The
entire
day
was
filled
with
fun
activities
for
them
to
do,
while
learning
how
a
school
operates
in
the
process.
The
children
all
know
what
it’s
like
to
be
a
student
in
a
classroom,
but
this
day
they
were
able
to
experience
the
operations
of
the
school
from
a
different
perspective.
Following
are
pictures
from
the
day’s
events.
Mrs.
Muller
had
a
cupcake
icing
party
for
visiting
students
(l-‐r)
Nikki,
Rachael
and
Dahlia
in
the
gourmet
cooking
room.
No
free
lunches
here
–
you
want
to
eat,
you
have
to
work!
Fortunately,
everyone
was
having
a
great
time
with
it.
Some
of
the
creations
were
unique
and
very
interesting!
Ms.
Rodriguez
didn’t
let
this
day
go
to
waste
with
her
three
charges,
(l-‐r)
Claire,
Makayla,
and
Sofia.
She
put
the
day
to
good
use
helping
the
girls
learn
about
products
and
practices
of
language
by
having
discussions
about
their
childhood
and
playing
games
from
their
culture.
They
played
traditional
games
with
Ms.
Rodriguez’s
class
while
learning
some
Spanish
in
the
process.
