End  of  Summer  Activities       Seventh  Grade  Orientation   Gateway   held   the   seventh   grade   orientation   on   Wednesday,   August   28th   for   new   students  who  have  left  their  sixth  grade  classrooms  and  are  now  joining  the  ranks  of   the  middle  school  dominion.  The  students  had  fun  making  their  Class  of  2019  poster   to  add  to  the  wall  in  the  cafeteria  where  it  will  stay  until  their  graduation  day.    They   followed   a   shortened   schedule   to   help   them   acclimate   to   their   new   classroom   schedules,   spent   time   practicing   how   to   work   the   locks   on   their   lockers,   enjoyed   a   complimentary   lunch,   and   received   their   first   middle   school   t-­?shirt.     Later   that   evening,   students   participated   in   their   very   first   seventh   grade   dance   where   they   had   a  chance  to  mingle  with  their  classmates,  both  new  and  old.         Students   have   fun   putting   their   personal  touch   on  the  Class  of  2019   poster   in   the   cafeteria.     This   poster   will  be  hung  on  the  wall  until  the  day   of   their   graduation,   when   it   will   be   displayed   during   their   graduation   ceremony.       Locker   time   finds   Mrs.   Convey   and  other  middle  school  teachers   helping   students   navigate   their   way   through   the   maze   of   new   experiences.
