Dr.
Sweta
Chandela
Dr.
Sweta
Chandela,
valedictorian
of
the
Gateway
Regional
High
School
Class
of
1995,
has
been
inducted
into
the
Gateway
Hall
of
Fame.
She
was
honored
at
the
Academic
Awards
Ceremony
for
her
outstanding
achievement
in
the
medical
field.
Her
husband,
parents,
and
several
former
teachers
were
also
in
attendance
to
honor
her
achievements.
After
graduating
from
Gateway,
Dr.
Chandela
attended
Rosemont
College
in
Pennsylvania
where
she
earned
her
BA
in
Biochemistry.
She
then
proceeded
to
Drexel
University
where
she
received
her
Doctorate
in
medicine
and
served
her
Internal
Medicine
Residency.
Dr.
Chandela
received
her
Cardiovascular
Fellowship
in
2006
at
Cooper
University
Hospital
in
Camden
where
she
is
presently
practicing
her
specialty.
Dr.
Chandela’s
employment
and
volunteer
work
history
include
selflessly
mentoring
middle
school
and
high
school
students
early
in
her
career,
serving
at
the
Roxborough
Salvation
Army
Drug
and
Alcohol
Rehab
Center,
participating
on
the
Resident
Recruitment
Committee
at
Drexel
College
of
Medicine,
and
serving
in
the
Cardiovascular
Outpatient
Clinic
at
Cooper.
In
addition
to
her
work
and
volunteer
activities,
Dr.
Chandela
has
collaborated
with
numerous
colleagues
in
her
field
on
various
medical
research
articles,
which
have
appeared
in
a
number
of
publications.
The
Gateway
