Teacher
Mr.
Howard
is
retiring
from
Gateway
after
39
years
as
a
teacher
in
AP
English,
British
Literature,
Cinema,
Film
Studies
and
various
other
subjects.
He
has
a
BS
in
education
and
an
MA
in
literature
from
West
Chester
University.
Mr.
Howard
also
attended
Rowan
University
and
Pennsylvania
Academy
of
Fine
Arts
where
he
received
his
background
in
Art.
In
addition
to
his
successful
teaching
career
at
Gateway,
Mr.
Howard
has
illustrated
books
and
pamphlets
for
the
NJ
Department
of
Education;
served
as
a
councilman
for
the
Borough
of
Wenonah;
created
caricatures
at
craft
fairs
and
Gator
Day;
and
he
accompanied
the
wrestling
team
to
summer
camp
at
George
Mason
University.
He
is
currently
creating
a
book
of
caricatures
of
all
faculty
and
staff
members
from
1974
to
the
present.
He
plans
to
do
the
same
thing
with
caricatures
of
former
students.
Mr.
Howard
had
the
most
satisfaction
steering
his
students
to
tackle
difficult
pieces
of
literature
and
watching
as
a
light
bulb
went
on
at
the
