Did You Know:
• Kennedy Whalen was selected to 1 st Team All Area for softball by the South Jersey Times;
• Alyssa Welsh recorded her 500 th career strikeout in the girls softball game against Schalick in May;
• Mr. Abed, Mrs. Brangan, Ms. Clanet, Mrs. Danza, Mr. D’ Alessandro, Mrs. Peck, Mr. Skinner and Mrs. Lynch completed the 10-­‐ mile Broad Street Run in Philadelphia in May;
• Kyle Reim was chosen to play in the 23 rd Annual Adam Taliaferro Football All-­‐ Star Classic Game held at the end of June;
• The Gateway Thespian Troupe received excellent ratings after performing at the NJ State Thespian Festival at Kean University;
• Liz Romeo, Stevie Diedel and Bri Rafferty, girls track and field team members, were selected to 1 st Team All-­‐ Conference: Liz for the 3200 meter run; Stevie for discus and Bri for javelin. Congratulations and good luck, ladies!
Gators of the Month Each month, two faculty selection committees, one for the middle school and another for the senior high, meet to review students nominated for the“ Gator of the Month” award. Students are selected on the basis of citizenship, academic effort and participation in school activities. Two students from the senior high and four from the middle school( one from each team) are selected for the award and are honored at a Board of Education meeting.
