In line with our flight network expansion and
the arrival of our new airplanes this year, in
addition to increasing the number of flights to
our existing destinations, Garuda Indonesia is
also reopening past routes.
Brisbane, Australia, which we used to fly to in
2007, was reopened in August 2013 as a direct
route from Denpasar using a Boeing 737-800NG
and flying once daily.
Brisbane is the third-largest city in Australia
after Sydney and Melbourne, making it both
a hub for business and also a popular tourist
destination. The reinstatement of the
Brisbane flights will provide more options
to Garuda Indonesia passengers who plan to
fly to Australia.

Aside from the Brisbane route, we recently
reopened Surabaya–Singapore and Medan–
Penang routes; while we are also in the process
of launching new Denpasar–Bangkok and
Denpasar–Kuala Lumpur routes.
