Dear Valued Customers,
First of all, on behalf of the Garuda Indonesia
management team allow me to welcome you on
board. I hope you enjoy your flight today with
Garuda Indonesia.
Through this opportunity we would like to
share the exciting news of two new route
launches for Garuda Indonesia this past
September, including Maumere, which can now
be accessed through Denpasar, and Nabire,
which is served through Papua’s three main
cities: Biak, Jayapura and Timika.
The launch of these new routes is in line with
our flight network expansion programme that
we have been consistently implementing, and
they also reflect our support toward the national
programme of striving to achieve 272 million
tourist visits to Indonesia, with 260 million of
those visits expected to be domestic.
In addition to the opening of these new routes,
as a part of our efforts to be closer to every one
of our valued customers, at the start of this
month we will be holding our ever-popular
Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) for the
second time in 2016.
GATF will not only be held in Jakarta, but the
event will also be held simultaneously in 17
major cities across Indonesia, namely Bandung,
Medan, Lampung, Palembang, Solo, Yogyakarta,
Surabaya, Semarang, Denpasar, Lombok,

Kupang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Manado,
Ambon, Timika and Jayapura. For this GATF,
our target is to achieve total sales transactions
of Rp386 billion throughout the three-day
GATF event.
We are also consistently working synergistically
in promoting Garuda Indonesia’s flight
services to and from various destinations
among the Kangaroo Routes through our
cooperation with Tourism Australia. We hope
that through this synergy we will see greater
optimisation and increased passenger
numbers flying to and from Australia.
Moreover, we would also like to take this
opportunity to gladly inform you that Garuda
Indonesia, through Colours magazine, was
recently awarded a prestigious international
title, the PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association)
Gold Award in the photo journalism category.
Certainly the recognition that we receive makes
us proud, but more importantly it challenges us
not only to maintain, but to continuously strive
to improve our growth and enhance the service
quality for all of our valued customers.
