GARUDA INDONESIA, RED CROSS AND
THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SIGN MOU

GARUDA INDONESIA NAMED
MOST INFLUENTIAL PUBLIC
COMPANY IN INDONESIA

On August 27, 2013, Garuda
Indonesia, Red Cross (PMI) and
the Indonesian Chamber of
Commerce (KADIN) signed a
Memorandum of Understanding
supporting the activities of PMI.
The MoU was a follow-up to
Garuda Indonesia’s previous
Corporate Social Responsibility
programme in support of PMI.
The MoU was signed by the President and
CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero)
Tbk. Emirsyah Satar, the Chairman of
PMI Jusuf Kalla and the Chairman of
KADIN, represented by the Vice
Chairman for CSR, Yani Motik, at the
Garuda City Center, Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport.
Through the partnership, Garuda
Indonesia will support PMI through
the provision of air tickets to PMI
members using the mileage of KADIN
members who are Garuda Frequent
Flyers (GFF). Garuda Indonesia will also
donate a vehicle for blood drive
operations to be conducted by PMI,
funded by the donations from
Garuda Indonesia’s customers.
“This cooperation is in line with Garuda
Indonesia’s efforts to accommodate GFF
members – especially KADIN members
in giving aid to the public through PMI,”
explained Emirsyah Satar.
