Agung Wibowo
Flight attendant
More than just a Garuda
Indonesia flight attendant,
Agung Wibowo, also known as
Agung Webe, is a prolific
writer who has written many
inspiring, motivating books.
Javanese Wisdom: Afirmasi 100
Hari, Berpikir dan Berjiwa Besar,
and Soul Journey: Membebaskan
Diri dari Kematian are just a
few of his titles which have
been published in Indonesia.
His novel Diary Pramugari
(Diary of a Steward) has been
reprinted 20 times. The novel,
which is based on his personal
travels, is an engaging and
revealing peek into the life of a
professional flight attendant.
Aside from tending to Garuda
Indonesia passengers in the
sky and writing, Agung is also
a motivational speaker. Fifteen
years of experience with
Garuda Indonesia have
enriched him with inspiration
for his books and speaking
engagements. “I feel like I’ve

hope that they might be
inspired to travel and
learn as well.”
Agung recalls attending a
seminar about passion several

that ignited his passion for
writing and subsequently
motivational speaking. He
began with simple blogs,
www.inspirasiagungwebe.
blogspot.com and www.
agungwebe.net, which grew
strong and loyal readerships,
allowing him to expand his
writing into published works.
When Agung completed
his book Belajar Mandiri
(Learning to be Independent),
a popular radio station in
Jakarta invited him to speak
for a three-minute spot on
motivation. His confidence
and charisma during that first
radio show prompted many
institutions to book him as a
motivational speaker.
To hone his new passion,
Agung studied public speaking
and neo-linguistics, and
attended many independent
courses. Combining selfmotivatio
