Wat Pra Kaew
Located within the Grand Palace and
known as ‘The Temple of the Emerald Buddha’,
this wat houses a remarkable 66cm-tall Buddha
carved from a block of jade. The temple has
two 1km-long galleries covered with detailed
murals which depict 178 scenes of the
epic story of Ramayana.
Terletak di kawasan Grand Palace, tempat
ini dikenal sebagai “Kuil Buddha Zamrud”
karena memiliki patung Buddha setinggi 66
cm dari batu giok. Kuil ini memiliki dua galeri
sepanjang satu kilometer dengan mural
yang menceritakan 178 adegan dari
kisah epik Ramayana.

Wat Pho
One of the oldest and largest temples
in Bangkok, Wat Pho is also known as ‘The
Temple of the Reclining Buddha’ thanks to the
15m-high, 43m-long Buddha. This wondrous Buddha
is covered in gold leaf and has mother-of-pearl
decorations on its feet. Wat Pho also has 1,000
images of Buddha, as well as 91 chedis (stupas),
and it is home to the first Thai-massage school.
Salah satu kuil tertua dan terbesar
di Bangkok, Wat Pho juga dikenal sebagai “Kuil
Buddha Tidur” karena patung Buddha berukuran
panjang 43 m dan tinggi 15 m. Patung Buddha ini
dilapis emas dengan hiasan mother-of-pearl
pada bagian kakinya. Wat Pho juga memiliki
seribu gambar Buddha, serta 91 stupa, dan
merupakan tempat bagi sekolah pijat
pertama di Thailand.
