Thierry Bornier is an
award-winning French
photographer specialising
in Chinese landscapes.
With an MBA in finance,
it was many years before
he discovered his passion
for photography. In 2008
he decided to make
a big career change and
see what his life would
become if he did
something he truly loved.
Since then he has never
lost his desire and
enthusiasm for his
new work.

Olha Romaniuk is
a Singapore-based senior
exhibit designer, with
clients ranging from
local art galleries to
international museums,
and a writer for
a number of travel,
design and architectural
magazines, such as Dwell
and Surface Asia. Olha
considers herself to be
an avid traveller and is
a self-proclaimed foodie
who spends much of her
vacation time exploring
countries and cuisines
all over the world.
Born in Nigeria of Irish
parents, Brian was
destined to become a
travel writer: he has lived
in Switzerland, the UK
and China, and now calls
Sydney home. The author
of three travel books,
he also contributes to
leading newspapers and
travel magazines. He has
twice won the prestigious
Australian Travel Writer
of the Year award.
A self-taught
photographer and
software developer by
trade, Suwandi Chandra’s
interest in photography
blossomed while working
in the USA in 2007.
He is now based in
Medan, but his love of
nature, still-life and
architectural objects
continues to fuel his
worldwide travels.

Fatris MF is a philologist
and spoken-word artist.
He is currently working
on a documentary,
The Banda Journal, about
the islands of Banda in
Maluku, together with
photographer Muhammad
Fadli. After years of
studying literature,
he has shifted his focus to
writing travel journals.
His travel book Merobek
Sumatra (Ripping Through
Sumatra) was published
by Serambi in Jakarta in
March last year.

China yang telah
memenangi aneka
penghargaan. Bergelar
MBA di bidang
keuangan, dia akhirnya
menemukan minatnya
terhadap fotografi.
Di tahun 2008,
dia memutuskan
melakukan perubahan
radikal dalam kariernya.
Sejak saat itu, hasrat dan
semangatnya terhadap
pekerjaan barunya ini
terus membara.
Olha Romaniuk
adalah desainer senior
yang bermukim di
Singapura, dengan klien
mulai dari galeri seni
lokal hingga museum
internasional, juga
penulis untuk beberapa
majalah perjalanan,
desain dan arsitektur
seperti Dwell dan Surface
Asia. Olha menyebut
dirinya seorang petualang
sejati, pencinta kuliner,
dan menghabiskan
banyak waktu luangnya
untuk menjelajahi
negara-negara dan kuliner
di seluruh dunia.

Minat Suwandi
Chandra, fotografer
autodidak sekaligus
konsultan software
developer, mulai
berkembang saat
bekerja di AS tahun
2007. Walau kini
Suwandi bermukim di
Medan, kecintaannya
terhadap alam, objek
hidup dan bangunan
arsitektur terus
membuatnya
melancong ke berbagai
belahan dunia.
Fatris MF adalah
seorang filologi dan
seniman kata. Saat ini
dia sedang mengerjakan
proyek dokumenter the
banda journal, mengenai
Pulau Banda di Maluku
bersama fotografer
Muhammad Fadli.
Setelah mempelajari
sastra selama bertahuntahun, Fatris mulai
beralih untuk membuat
artikel pariwisata.
Buku wisatanya berjudul
Merobek Sumatra
diterbitkan oleh Penerbit
Serambi di Jakarta pada
Maret tahun lalu.
