Up-and-coming
footballer, 21-year-old
Andik Vermansyah is
considered one of the
greatest talents in
Indonesian football.
In fact, he has been
hailed as one of the
top 10 Asian players
to watch by ESPN
Soccernet.
The young Indonesian footballer
recently spent a week in Japan to
participate in a trial for the Ventforet
Kofu reserves. By most accounts,
Vermansyah had a successful week,
scoring inside half-an-hour of his
first appearance in a training match
against the Shimizu S-Pulse reserves.
The Persebaya forward’s first visit
to Japan was sponsored by Garuda
Indonesia, which in April formed
a partnership with Ventforet Kofu’s
home prefecture of Yamanashi.
Vermansyah had only arrived in
Japan less than 24 hours before
playing against Shimizu, and was
keen to make a positive impression
on Ventforet coach Hiroshi Jofuku
and his teammates.
Vermansyah was clear that his
main focus was to act as a positive
ambassador for Indonesian football
and do his best to play well, as well
as trying to learn as much as possible
from the experience.
When asked about his ultimate
career goal Vermansyah said, “I want
to make Indonesia proud, and I want
to make Indonesia known to the
world through football.”
With a little luck, Vermansyah may
become the first Indonesian player
in the J-league by next season.

Pemain bola yang sedang naik
daun, Andik Vermansyah yang kini
berusia 21 tahun merupakan salah
satu pesepak bola berbakat di
Indonesia. Andik disebut-sebut
sebagai salah satu pemain Asia
terbaik oleh ESPN Soccernet.
Pemain sepak bola muda Indonesia
ini menghabiskan waktu satu
minggu di Jepang untuk menjalani
trial bagi tim Ventforet Kofu.
Seperti yang sudah diduga, Andik
mengalami kesuksesan, dia dapat
mencetak gol setengah jam setelah
muncul melawan tim Shimizu
S-Pulse reserves.
Persebaya memberangkatkan
timnya ke Jepang dengan disponsori
oleh Garuda Indonesia, dimana pada
bulan April lalu terdapat perjanjian
kerja sama dengan tim Ventforet
Kofu di Yamanashi. Walaupun Andik
