As part of our efforts to continuously deliver
the best for all of our valued Garuda Indonesia
customers, let me take this opportunity to share
two exciting new developments that we’ve
implemented, which are the restructuring of
our A330-300 fleet and the Garuda Indonesia
Travel Fair 2016.

Meanwhile, at the end of April we held our
annual Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair 2016
simultaneously in 14 major cities across
Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Medan,
Pekanbaru, Jambi, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta,
Surabaya, Denpasar, Manado, Makassar,
Timika and Jayapura.

In line with the strategic steps we have taken
as a part of our fleet restructuring programme to
support our business development and network
expansion while maintaining the positive growth
that the company has achieved, on April, 19, 2016,
Garuda Indonesia – in the presence of Indonesian
President Joko Widodo and British Prime
Minister David Cameron in London – signed a
cooperation agreement for the restructuring of
our A330-300 fleet with Airbus as well as a
cooperation agreement with Rolls-Royce with a
value of US$1.2 billion. Through the cooperation
agreements, Garuda Indonesia’s A330-300 aircraft
will be replaced by a new fleet of A330-900neo
aircraft equipped with Trent 7000 engines
provided by Rolls-Royce as part of its operational
scope. The agreement with Rolls-Royce will also
include cooperation in developing capacity and
increasing skill in the aircraft maintenance,
repair and operation industry.

Through GATF, we want to provide an
opportunity for all of our valued customers to
make travel arrangement and plan their holidays
as early as possible to enjoy the ease and
convenience of special offers and discounted
rates on flights and amazing tour packages.

We are glad to say that our Travel Fair,
which we have held regularly since 2008, has
grown and developed to become the biggest of
its kind in Indonesia and is consistently filled
with eager and enthusiastic visitors every year,
exceeding our targets and expectations.
As a sign of how quickly it has developed, since
2014 the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair has been
held twice a year, in April and September.
Lastly, I would like to thank all of our loyal
