The ‘Aircraft Interiors Expo’ and ‘World
Travel Catering & Onboard Service 2015
Expo’ are the world’s largest events dedicated
to airport interiors and travel catering. Held
recently in April in Hamburg, Germany, this
year’s event was especially significant for
Garuda Indonesia.
During this prestigious event that sets
the standard for the industry, Garuda
Indonesia was honoured with the
‘Outstanding Food Service in Asia 2015’
award from Pax International Magazine –
a leading source for travel industry news
based in Canada that provides detailed
coverage of passenger experience, cabin
service and onboard catering.
Winners of the award were elected
through an online balloting process on
the magazine’s website that invites the
participation of bloggers and Twitter
users from all over the world.
Far from being our end goal, this award
is a testament to our ongoing service
improvements and, at the same time,
recognises the dedication and hard work
of everyone at Garuda Indonesia, as well
as the trust and loyalty of our most
valued customers.
Meanwhile, in our pursuit to become a
Green Airline, as part of our Green Action
programme, in March 2015, Garuda
Indonesia once again collaborated with
the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
Indonesia in organising Earth Hour, a
campaign that has been held annually
since 2009 to promote awareness of the
importance of protecting the planet and
saving the earth from global warming.
We are delighted that the Earth Hour
event has since encouraged all members
of the Garuda Indonesia family to actively
participate in the conservation of their
environment, wherever they may be.
