24 Explore | Masterclass Minang – A moment in time Little did I know when shooting the Pagaruyung Palace in Sumatra’s Tanah Datar that it would burn to the ground in a lightning fire just a few weeks later. The news made me wish I’d spent several days there, documenting every detail. The palace has since been rebuilt, but lost forever are its countless antiques and 72 massive timber pillars, now replaced by a concrete frame – yet another reminder that we are losing tradition faster than we can record it. So get out and get shooting! Jadi, mulailah memotret!
