With 14 years’
experience working in
the magazine publishing
industry (GADIS, Cita
Cinta, Femina), Yani
Lauwoie has written on
a wide variety of topics.
However, travel writing
is where her real passion
lies, allowing her to
combine her love of
words with her desire
to explore the world.
Read her travel stories at
yanilauwoie.blogspot.com. Mark Parren Taylor is
a UK-based culture and
travel reporter. H is work
is published throughout
the world, and though his
assignments can send
him anywhere, he prefers
East and Southeast Asia.
“The speed of change
is astonishing,” he says,
“and at the same time
there’s a satisfying
balance between the
new and the traditional.” Valentino Luis
was born and raised in
Maumere, Flores. He later
completed his studies at
Udayana University in
Denpasar, before moving
to Germany in 2012
having decided to become
a full-time traveller. His
love of the mountains
and the people in the
remote areas of Flores
inspired him to establish
Shoes for Flores and
Flores Rural Library, social
programmes focused on
education, while he
continues to write. Tommy Schultz is
a travel and adventure
photographer who has
been based in Asia since
2004. His photography

Wildlife Fund, Delta Air
Lines, Korean Airlines
and Garuda Indonesia,
and he recently made his
television debut as a judge
on the History Channel’s
Photo Face-Off show. Born in Nigeria of
Irish parents, Brian was
destined to become a
travel writer; he has lived
in Switzerland, the UK
and China, and now calls
Sydney home. The author
of three travel books,
he also contributes to
leading newspapers and
travel magazines. He has
twice won the prestigious
Australian Travel Writer
of the Year award.
Mengantongi
pengalaman bekerja
selama 14 tahun di
industri media (GADIS,
Cita Cinta, Femina), Yani
Lauwoie tidak lagi asing
dengan dunia tulis-
menulis. Terlepas dari
kemampuannya menulis
berbagai topik, perjalanan
adalah topik yang paling
diminatinya. Dengan
menulis kisah perjalanan,
dia bisa menggabungkan
dua hal favoritnya, yaitu
menulis dan jalan-jalan.
Baca karya-karyanya di
yanilauwoie.blogspot.com. Mark Parren Taylor
adalah reporter budaya
dan wisata yang berbasis
di London. Tulisannya
telah dipublikasikan
di seluruh dunia.
Meskipun punya
kesempatan menjelajahi
berbagai negara, Taylor
lebih memilih Asia Timur
dan Asia Tenggara.
“Kemajuan di negara-
negara ini pesat sekali,
tetapi keseimbangan
aspek modernitas dan
tradisionalnya tetap
terjaga,” ujarnya. Lahir dan tumbuh
di Maumere, Flores,
Valentino Luis
menyelesaikan studi
di Fakultas Sastra
Universitas Udayana,
Denpasar, kemudian
hijrah ke Jerman. Sejak
2012 ia memutuskan
untuk menjadi full-time
traveller. Kecintaannya
kepada pegunungan dan
masyarakat pedalaman
Flores mendorongnya
untuk mendirikan
gerakan sosial pendidikan
Shoes for Flores dan Flores
Rural Library serta tetap
aktif menulis. Tommy Schultz
adalah seorang
fotografer perjalanan
dan petualangan yang
berbasis di Asia sejak
tahun 2004. Karya

dan baru-baru ini ia
tampil perdana di televisi

History Channel. Lahir di Nigeria
dari orang tua Irlandia,
Brian ditakdirkan
untuk menjadi penulis
perjalanan. Dia pernah
tinggal di Swiss, Inggris,
