Earth From Above
These images come from Yann’s book Earth
From Above, which has sold three million copies
worldwide; his outdoor exhibition has been
visited by 200 million people. These vistas of
Earth were captured from various aircraft
over a ten-year period.

In the midst of Nahuel Huapí
National Park in the southwest of
Neuquén province in Argentina, many
high-altitude glacial lakes (700m on
average) lie at the base of the mountains
and rocky peaks of the Andes. The
region’s humid climate favours the
growth of southern beech trees (the
Nothofagus pumilio and Antarctica
species), which have colonised the sides
of the mountains and brighten them up
with flamboyant colours in autumn.
