Salam Garuda Indonesia
SALAM
GARUDA INDONESIA
Pahala N. Mansury
President & CEO
PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
Dear valued Garuda Indonesia customers,
Eid al-Fitr is a moment that calls us
to purify our hearts and minds by giving
and asking for forgiveness, and by
strengthening our relationships
after a month of fasting.
On behalf of the Garuda Indonesia
management and staff, Eid Mubarak
to everyone who celebrates.
As we anticipate an increase in passenger
traffic during the Eid al-Fitr period,
Garuda Indonesia Group has prepared
150,510 extra seats on a number of
domestic and international routes
on June 8–24, 2018. To provide
additional value to our customers,
especially GarudaMiles members, we
have also prepared ‘Jakarta Eid al-Fitr’,
a GarudaMiles redemption programme
with up to 50 per cent off Jakarta
inbound routes from select cities
for flights on June 9–17, 2018.
To cater to customers’ increasingly
diverse needs, earlier in May
Garuda Indonesia launched Basic
Economy, the airline’s new economy
sub-class offered at an affordable price.
With this product, Garuda Indonesia
customers will be able to enjoy five-star
flight services, including a 20kg baggage
allowance, refreshments and other
facilities, at a lower price tag, served by
the Skytrax-rated World’s Best Cabin
Crew. Basic Economy will be
implemented in the Bombardier
CRJ1000 and ATR 72-600 aircraft.
Also in May, Garuda Indonesia signed
a codeshare partnership with Sriwijaya
Air Group, and it is hoped that this will
strengthen synergy and improve the
network and services for customers
of both airline groups.
Additionally, as part of Garuda Indonesia
Group employees’ commitment to
prioritise an honest, customer-oriented
working culture, throughout the
months of January to April 2018,
Garuda Indonesia and subsidiary
Gapura Angkasa returned 3,929 items
left behind in the airline’s cabins by
customers. These items ranged from
laptops and mobile phones to eyeglasses,
watches and more, estimated to be
worth Rp3 billion.
Garuda Indonesia was also once again
granted the Indonesia’s Most Admired
Companies 2018 award in the
Transportation category by Warta
Ekonomi magazine, making it the
10 th time the airline has received the
award. Meanwhile, during the BUMN
Marketeers 2018 event, Garuda Indonesia
also received five more awards as an
acknowledgement of its services.
We would like to thank all of
our customers and stakeholders
for supporting and trusting
Garuda Indonesia, allowing us
to grow and progress.
