Kate Clover grew up on
a white-sand beach, and as
she travelled, she noticed
and wondered how and
why sands could vary from
beach to beach. That led
her to a lifelong passion for
geology and collecting and
studying sands from
around the world. She is
a science writer, geologist
and she oversees the sand
collection at the Science
Museum of Minnesota
in Saint Paul. She serves as
education advisor to
the International Sand
Collectors’ Society.
Alice left England in
2006 and travelled to
Asia, where she
remained for seven
years; her homes in
Taipei, then Singapore,
provided the perfect
base for exploring the
wealth of beautiful
countries the continent
has to offer. From
Malaysia to Myanmar,
Thailand to Taiwan,
Alice loves to discover
the history, politics
and cultures unique
to each nation.
Mark Eveleigh prides
himself on being a
clear-sighted and
versatile photojournalist.
Undercover news
assignments have taken
him from besieged
Zimbabwean farms to
high-security Bolivian
prisons, but charging
African elephants,
Spanish fighting bulls
and a randy Peruvian
llama have taught him
the real importance of
‘journalistic footwork’.

Stephanie is a globally
adventurous soul, and
her travels have taken
her from Montana to
Moscow and throughout
Asia. She lives between
Jakarta and Brisbane and
has had numerous
articles published on
Indonesian culture,
ethnic diversity and
travel hot spots. She has
even been known to
work in the rice fields
to get a story.
Ryan Craggs is an
editor and videographer
in New York City. He has
lived in Madrid, Chicago
and Rome. His favourite
spot on Earth is atop the
terrace in Barcelona’s
Park Güell, though the
drum circle in Madrid’s
El Retiro remains a
close second. He lives
for Spanish-language
cinema, modernist art
and that first deep
breath while exploring
a new place.
Kate Clover besar
di pantai berpasir putih.
Saat travelling, dia mulai
menyadari sekaligus takjub
akan perbedaan karakter
pasir di setiap pantai.
Hal itu mendorongnya
untuk menekuni geologi,
mengumpulkan dan
mempelajari pasir dari
seluruh dunia. Kate adalah
seorang penulis ilmiah,
ahli geologi, kurator
koleksi pasir di Science
Museum of Minnesota
di St. Paul dan konsultan
pendidikan untuk
International Sand
Collectors’ Society.

Alice meninggalkan
Inggris pada tahun 2006
dan melakukan perjalanan
ke Asia, di mana dia
tinggal selama tujuh
tahun. Dia tinggal di
Taipei, kemudian
Singapura yang
membuatnya mudah
untuk mengeksplor semua
keindahaan benua Asia.
Dari Malaysia ke
Myanmar, Thailand ke
Taiwan, Alice sangat
menyukai sejarah, politik
dan budaya yang unik di
masing-masing negara.

Mark Eveleigh cukup
bangga menjadi seorang
jurnalis foto yang serba
bisa. Tugas-tugas
pemberitaan telah
membawanya dari
perkebunan Zimbabwe
yang liar hingga ke
penjara berpengamanan
maksimal di Bolivia.
Pengalamannya
menyaksikan kekerasan
terhadap gajah afrika,
adu banteng di Spanyol
dan llama Peruvia yang
mengamuk mengajarkan
betapa pentingnya
terjun langsung ke
sumber berita.
Bali, Indonesia
Stephanie adalah
petualang global yang
telah melancong mulai

Indonesia, keragaman
budaya dan berbagai
destinasi wisatanya yang
menarik telah banyak
diterbitkan. Dia bahkan
pernah bekerja di sawah
demi merampungkan
sebuah tulisan.
