Salam Garuda Indonesia
SALAM
GARUDA INDONESIA
Emirsyah Satar
President & CEO
PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
Dear Valued Customers,
As we embrace the holy month of
Ramadan 1435 H, which began at the end
of June, on behalf of Garuda Indonesia
I would like to extend my warmest wishes
to all of our customers who are fasting
during this blessed period.
Indeed, our customers’ convenience and
needs are some of our main priorities, so
during the month of Ramadan, we have
made thoughtful adjustments to our service
and have prepared a special in-flight menu to
be respectful of all our valued customers who
will be fasting throughout the month ahead.
As we have done in previous years, to
accommodate the large number of
passengers who are travelling back to their
home towns for the holidays and to celebrate
Eid al-Fitr with their loved ones, Garuda
Indonesia will raise capacity through
additional flights to Surabaya, Yogyakarta,
Padang, and Denpasar. Flight frequencies for
tourist destinations, including Singapore and
Bangkok, will also be increased for those
planning to vacation abroad.
The additional seat capacity will be effective
starting one week before until one week
after Eid al-Fitr. Garuda Indonesia, together
with our subsidiary Citilink, will actually
provide 1.7 million seats during this period,
which is an increase of 11 percent over the
same period last year.
Meanwhile, as part of our corporate social
responsibility efforts, especially in educating
the general public about the airline industry,
we recently launched Aviapedia 2, which is
a continuation of the first Aviapedia book
that we launched in 2012.
I sincerely hope that this new installment
in the Aviapedia series, which is packed
with insightful information concerning the
airline industry, will become a trusted
reference point in learning about the
exciting developments of this mature
industry and its continued growth.
Lastly, we thank you for your trust and
loyalty in always choosing to fly with
Garuda Indonesia.
