Compiled by Dawn Gibson FESTIVAL WAW Festeaval 2019, Wonosari Agro Tourism Tea Plantation, Malang The 2019 WAW Festeaval, a festivity for tea lovers, was held on December 7–8, 2019 at the Wonosari Agro Tourism Tea Plantation in Malang, East Java. During the two-day event, visitors satisfied their love for tea and enjoyed a variety of activities, such as tea brewing, tea talk shows, fun biking, and walking in the tea garden, as well as games and competitions with millions of rupiah-worth of prizes. With 'Tea Up Your Day' as the slogan, the event also encouraged young millennial visitors to develop enthusiasm for tea. A groundbreaking initiative by PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII), a state-owned plantation company, the festival also served as the launch party of the newly refurbished and rebranded Wonosari Agro Tourism Tea Plantation. Located on the slopes of Mount Arjuna, Singosari, Malang, the 528ha Wonosari Tea Plantation offers a breathtaking mountain panorama from 1,000m above sea level, cool mountain air along with the comfort of sipping a hot cup of Wonosari’s signature fruity, bright red tea. A perfect place for rest and recreation or family vacations, the Wonosari Tea Plantation also provides accommodation and other facilities designed for your utmost comfort and enjoyment. You can stay at the Rollas Hotel or 24 Cottage, dine at the Tea House Resto, and have fun at the mini water boom and kids’ playground, as well as going horse-riding, and experiencing the bunny train, flying fox, ATV, or trail motorbikes. 26 Sebuah perayaan untuk para pencinta teh, WAW Festeaval 2019, diadakan pada 7–8 Desember 2019 lalu di Wisata Agro Wonosari di Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Selama festival berlangsung, para pengunjung menyalurkan kecintaan mereka terhadap teh lewat berbagai kegiatan seperti belajar menyeduh teh, berdiskusi tentang teh di talk show, mengikuti fun bike dan jalan sehat di kebun teh, serta berpartisipasi di lomba-lomba yang menawarkan hadiah puluhan juta rupiah. Mengusung tema Tea Up Your Day, acara ini juga bertujuan untuk membangun kecintaan terhadap teh di kalangan muda: generasi milenial. Lewat festival ini, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII) sebagai penggagas dan penyelenggara memperkenalkan Wisata Agro Wonosari dengan kemasan dan fasilitas baru. Terletak di lereng Gunung Arjuna di Singosari, Malang, perkebunan teh seluas 528 hektare ini menawarkan pemandangan indah dari ketinggian 1.000 meter di atas permukaan laut (mdpl), udara sejuk pengunungan, dan secangkir teh khas Wonosari yang berwarna merah terang dan beraroma buah-buahan. Wisata Agro Wonosari adalah tempat yang pas untuk memanjakan diri dan keluarga dengan akomodasi dan berbagai fasilitas lain yang memberikan kenyamanan sekaligus hiburan.
