Describe your travel style.
I would rather travel to not-so-far tourist
destinations, like Kupang, Sumba and East
Nusa Tenggara; beautiful places close to my
home town. They offer lots of exotic beaches
and pristine tourist spots. Sometimes,
my family and I ride in a Jeep to explore
natural attractions such as clearwater springs.
What are your go-to travel items?
A smartphone will do for me, so I never
leave without it. Millennials can’t live
without their gadgets! However, I do not
always upload photos and videos to social
media. Mostly, I keep them to myself
as memorable moments.
What are your favourite holiday
destinations?
Internationally, South Korea. I was so
lucky to visit the country last December
in order to receive a music award. While
there, I took the opportunity to have
a look around and to enjoy my favourite
Korean food, even though time was short.
For domestic vacations, Bali is my favourite
place, but I also love travelling to less
crowded tourist destinations. I really
want to go to Labuan Bajo.
It is said that you are afraid of flying.
Is that true?
Well, I am not afraid of flying, but
I don’t like being in a confined space
for longer than a three-hour flight.
However, thanks to the experience of
travelling to Korea recently, I think I am
becoming less worried about it.
What do you think of Garuda Indonesia?
For domestic travel, I mostly fly with
Garuda Indonesia. The airline is quite rightly
known for its excellent customer service.
The warm and considerate attitude of
the cabin crew also makes me feel less
concerned about flying!
Apa gaya travelling Anda?
Saya lebih senang wisata yang tidak jauh,
misalnya ke destinasi cantik seputaran
kampung halaman saya di Kupang dan
Sumba, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Ada banyak
pantai cantik dan titik-titik wisata yang
masih begitu asri di sana. Kadang saya
bersama keluarga suka menaiki mobil Jeep
untuk mengeksplorasi spot-spot wisata
alam seperti situs-situs mata air yang jernih.
Gawai apa yang biasa dibawa
ketika berlibur?
Smartphone sangat penting bagi saya,
jadi saya tidak bisa pergi tanpa itu.
Millennials can’t live without gadget. Meski
begitu, saya tidak selalu mengunggah foto
dan video ke media sosial. Lebih sering
saya simpan sendiri sebagai kenangan.
Apa saja destinasi liburan favorit Anda?
Korea Selatan! Saya beruntung bisa pergi
ke sana Desember lalu untuk menerima
penghargaan musik. Sekaligus saya
sempatkan diri untuk jalan-jalan,
walaupun sebentar, termasuk
menikmati makanan Korea kesukaan
saya. Kalau di dalam negeri, saya suka
berlibur ke Bali. Tapi saya juga suka
destinasi yang belum terlalu ramai.
Saat ini saya ingin pergi ke Labuan Bajo.
Kabarnya kamu kurang berani
naik pesawat?
Bukan kurang berani, saya cuma merasa
agak tertekan kalau berada di dalam ruang
terbatas di udara jika waktu tempuhnya
lebih dari 3 jam. Tapi berkat pengalaman
ke Korea kemarin, mudah-mudahan
saya sudah tidak terlalu khawatir lagi
ke depannya.
Apa pendapat kamu tentang
Garuda Indonesia?
Untuk perjalanan dalam negeri,
saya sering sekali naik Garuda Indonesia.
Sudah pasti layanannya terkenal baik.
Pramugarinya yang begitu ramah dan
tampak melindungi, membuat saya tidak
merasa terlalu khawatir untuk terbang!
