Established in October 15 , 1957 Undip is one of the leading universities in Indonesia . It has an outstanding reputation in delivering high quality of education , research , and publication . The university ’ s center of excellent is “ Coastal Region Eco-Development ” to support Indonesia as the world maritime axis . Annually , the university produces more than 400 publications on reputable international journals . Having more than 56.000 students , Undip is now trusted by the government to become an independent legal body ( Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum – PTNBH ).
