We are fast approaching the end of 2017,

a Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating
and Happy New Year 2018 to all
Garuda Indonesia customers.
I would also like to take this opportunity
to extend our gratitude and highest

who have entrusted Garuda Indonesia
with their travels to various destinations
in Indonesia and abroad.
As 2017 comes to a close, we are
delighted to inform you that in line
with the implementation of our 5 Quick
Wins strategy – Fleet Cost Optimisation,
Service Level Improvement, Route
Optimisation, Channel Optimisation
with a Focus on Digital to Become
an IT-based Airline, and Enhanced
Revenues Management System – and
with overall performance growth
in every aspect of our operations,
Garuda Indonesia has successfully
recorded a net profit of US$61.9 million
in the third quarter of the year, up
216.1 per cent from the same
period last year.
Moreover, Garuda Indonesia was also
able to achieve international recognition
as Brand of the Year in the National
Tier category at the World Branding
Awards held by the World Branding
Forum at Kensington Palace, England.
With this award, the forum recognises
Garuda Indonesia’s success in
implementing an effective and
comprehensive branding strategy. in West Sumatra, Garuda Indonesia
has begun operating special flights
for Islamic pilgrimage travellers
on our Padang–Jeddah route.
In mid-November, Garuda Indonesia was
also presented with the Top Corporate
Reputation 2017 award at the Top Capital
Market 2017 event held by Business News
Indonesia in partnership with the Asia
Business Research Center (ABRC). With GOTF, we also aimed to support
the government in increasing the number
of tourist visits to Indonesia by providing
all Garuda Indonesia customers with
access to domestic and international
destinations at attractive prices.
The Top Corporate Reputation 2017
award was granted to all high-performing
listed companies and capital market
players that have demonstrated
a positive reputation, as well as through
an appraisal process conducted
via Market Research. Once again we would like to thank you,
