We’re nearing the end of 2016 and welcoming
the New Year of 2017. At this opportunity,
on behalf of the management and all
stakeholders of PT Garuda Indonesia
(Persero) Tbk., we wish a Merry Christmas
to those celebrating and a Happy New Year
2017 for all Garuda Indonesia customers.
At this opportune moment, we also would
like to express our sincere gratitude and
appreciation to all customers who have
entrusted Garuda Indonesia with their
travels to many a destination, domestic
and abroad.
We would like to share the good news that in
the third quarter of 2016, Garuda Indonesia
successfully booked a profit of US$19.6
million, which is equivalent to
Rp254.8 billion. This achievement was
possible through our hard work in
implementing the ‘Sky Beyond’ business
development strategy, which has been
instrumental in improving the company’s
performance in this period.

Moreover, as part of our move to expand
flight connectivity and improve the domestic
market while supporting the government’s
programme to develop the country’s tourism
potential in East Indonesia, this past October
Garuda Indonesia launched a direct flight
from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo to complement
the existing Denpasar–Labuan Bajo flight.
With the launch of the new direct flight, we
are making an effort to provide convenience
to our customers by offering a shorter flight
duration and greater efficiency to reach
Labuan Bajo without transit in Denpasar.
