PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
Dear Valued Customers,
First of all I would like to welcome you
aboard and I hope you enjoy your flight
today with Garuda Indonesia.
August 17 marks a truly historic day for
Indonesia. So in honour of this day, let
me first take the time on behalf of everyone
here at Garuda Indonesia to say Happy
Independence Day.
implement national flights for hajj pilgrims
across indonesia to reach the Holy Land. In
implementing flights for the 2015/1436 hajj
season, we are prepared to fly more than
83 thousand hajj pilgrims to the Holy Land
through nine embarkation points:
Balikpapan, Banda Aceh, Banjarmasin,
Jakarta, Lombok, Makassar, Medan,
Padang and Solo.
Through this opportunity, I would like
to share exciting information regarding our
continuous domestic and international flight
network expansion programme. Following
the successful launch of our Amsterdam
flights, we are thrilled to have increased the
flight frequency of our Jakarta–Amsterdam
route from 5 weekly flights to 6 weekly
flights, effective from July 22, 2015. The
increased frequency reflects the efforts of
Garuda Indonesia to meet increasing market
demand, and to strengthen our international
market share, particularly in Europe.
To conduct the hajj flights, we will use
a fleet of 11 aircraft comprised of six Airbus
330-300 aircraft, four Boeing 747-400
aircraft and one Boeing 777-300ER.
Our direct Jakarta–Amsterdam route is
currently the fastest flight from Indonesia
to Europe, and the long-haul flight gives our
passengers the opportunity to truly savour
the Garuda Indonesia Experience, which
captivates the five senses and highlights
Indonesia’s unique hospitality and richly
diverse culture.
It is our hope that every concerted
effort that we put forward will satisfy
the expectations of all of our valued
customers throughout their journey.
Meanwhile, as we’ve carried out in previous
years, starting on August 21 we will begin to
Additionally, as a special service for hajj
pilgrims, this time all hajj flights will be
staffed by cabin crew that we have recruited
from each embarkation point, so that our
cabin crew can help passengers overcome
any language barriers in consideration of
many pilgrims who only communicate
using their local dialect.
Lastly, once again we thank all of you for
your continued trust and loyalty in always
choosing to fly with Garuda Indonesia.
