The 2014 programme, held from February 28 to March 2, marked the festival’s 10-year anniversary, and for the 10th year in a row Garuda Indonesia became a key sponsor of the festival, flying all featured artists to Jakarta. To celebrate this milestone in the Indonesian jazz scene, Garuda Indonesia held a number of special programmes and promotion s for Garuda Indonesia passengers as well as for visitors to the three-day festival, which this year was headlined by Jamie Cullum. At the multi-stage festival grounds, located within the Jakarta International Expo, Garuda Indonesia provided a dedicated Mobile Ticketing Counter (MTC) for the event. The MTC, a mobile reservation and ticketing facility housed in a specially designed bus, offered festival-goers tickets discounted by up to 13 per cent off domestic flights and 15 per cent off international flights. Also at the festival grounds, Garuda Indonesia set up a Ticketing and Information booth, where they held exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with renowned local and international musicians, including Marcell, Afgan, Natalie Cole, Jamie Cullum and more. The national airline also set the stage for some memorable performances from top local acts at its B2 Garuda Indonesia Hall, where slow jazz outfit Syaharani and the Queenfireworks impressed with their signature soulful sound. Meanwhile at the Garuda Indonesia Stage, the melodic vocals of Joy Tobing, along with the stylings of the Dutch Indonesian All Stars and more, inspired thousands of jazz fans.
