Prior to the said event, all participants were provided with singlets and attendance stubs for entry. The participants were requested to bring their own water bottles as this event is considered to be eco-friendly. The program started at five o’ clock in the morning at the UST Grandstand. The participants, the Thomasian faculty, students, and alumni, after the opening prayer and the singing of the National Anthem, warmed-up before the main event. While the Aero-Zumba participants stayed at the UST Open Field, the Fun Run took place around the outskirts of UST with the starting and finishing line at the Osmeña Drive inside UST. The participants ran a total of 5 kilometers inside and outside the University, including the España Boulevard, P. Noval St., Dapitan St., and Lacson Avenue. After reaching the finish line, all of the participants received give-aways like whistles and magazines. Each participant was also given a free bottle of water provided by the Pocari Sweat Company. The gathering ended with the a closing speech by Ms. Ecotourism-Philippines and the singing of the UST Hymn
By the end of the event, everyone was exhausted after an hour of morning exercises, but despite that, everyone was satisfied and perked up for the rest of the day. Motivated by the Thomasian core values of competence, commitment and compassion, the NSTP students dedicated themselves to become catalysts of social transformation. The entire Thomasian community participated in this event to attain a common goal of rebuilding the lives and communities that was ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda.
