MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST in learning more about the Garner Police Department . The Garner Police Department is comprised of a group of men and women dedicated to the values of Commitment , Integrity , and Professionalism , and whose primary focus is maintaining public trust and safety for our residents , businesses , and visitors .
I am honored to serve as the police chief for the Town of Garner . With over 24 years of law enforcement experience with the Garner Police Department , I can assure you I am committed to maintaining trust within our community . We will continue to focus on procedural justice and transparency with all people with whom we interact and will keep Garner a Great Place to Be . As the law enforcement profession continues to evolve , we recognize more than ever that the authority we have and the responsibility we hold , have a tremendous impact on our community and law enforcement profession . We continually strive to ensure that our actions , individually and collectively , are not just lawful and appropriate , but reflect making the best decisions possible in every situation .
As your Chief , I will ensure that we , as members of the Garner Police Department , will engage in lawful , ethical , respectful , and professional policing services for the entire Garner community . I believe in maintaining the highest level of integrity , transparency , a commitment to community engagement and outreach , and a commitment to training , succession planning , and finding additional ways for the community and police to work together to solve problems . I will continue to work collaboratively with internal and external community partners to ensure a safe community for all .
As we continue to navigate the societal changes
with policing , it is more important now than ever that the community and police work together to solve problems . Although great , the challenges we have seen in policing have provided an opportunity for us to evaluate our policies and policing practices to ensure we are providing the highest level of ethical and lawful service to our community . We at the Garner Police Department are proud to serve the Garner community , and we encourage feedback on ways we can improve our website and our police department operations .
