Budget Information
THE GARNER POLICE DEPARTMENT budget is one component of the budget for the Town of Garner and
is based on the town’s fiscal year from July 1-June 30. Two budgets were in effect in calendar 2019: Fiscal
Year 2019 (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019) and Fiscal Year 2020 (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020). The budget is
categorized into personnel expenses that fund salaries and benefits for employees and operational expenses
that fund operating expenses for uniforms, supplies, training, auto fuel and repairs, as well as capital outlay
that funds new personnel and major vehicle and equipment purchases. The chart below shows the departmentapproved
budgets for fiscal years 2019 and 2020.
