E3 continued a bit slow with Bethesda, honestly I expected E3 to start moving up the pace at this point.
Bethesda's presentation started with a trailer for Quake
Champions. I must admit the game looks interesting
and the graphics make the game more appealing. The
biggest flop I found is that this game is solely for PC,
which makes us, console gamers, feel left out. This game is directed for competitive gamers, with eSports Championships being coordinated by Bethesda. Well guys, I am not a PC gamer (yet!) but excluding all other gamers feels like a bust. This game from a solely PC gamer perspective is a win, Overall not so much!
After this game, Bethesda decided to pat themselves on the back talking about all the games already released that were great, but why slow down momentum? I feel like everyone that is seeing the Bethesda presentation knows all their games, they are there to see what's new and what is coming, not what already came out.
The next game that was showcase was The Elder Scrolls: Legends - A Strategy Card Game. The showcase started with a cinematic trailer to get an idea of what the game is about. Unfortunately, I still felt underwhelmed. It has a full campaign and also a multiplayer against AI or other players. Although they kept saying that they are excited about the game, they didn't show that much how you will be playing. For me, this game was worth mentioning but I don't know if it was the best way possible. For me not a win, but not a bust. Just underwhelming!
After this they showcased their new DLCs for Fallout 4.
I played Fallout 4 for weeks, the game was awesome
but lacking in some content. This content which now
is coming out in DLCs feels like they knew what the
game needed but decided to bring it on DLC. I feel
like DLCs should be more about adding story or
mission content but not content that could have been
added from the start. They kept it going with Vault-Tec Workshop for Fallout 4 with a July release date. I didn't completely understand how this would work but it looked interesting.
