Review My Monster Secret 5.8/10 “The harem bar has been somewhat raised as of late. It’s not enough just to have a hapless male lead and a bunch of cute girls.” Jitsu wa Watashi wa is the anime adaptation of the series titled “My Monster Secret”. In the context of stories like that, My Monster Secret feels almost like a throwback to a gentler age. Its characters harbor simple crushes, and their feelings are constrained largely by shyness and personal density. It’s not sexy as much as charming. It’s not a great read, but it is not bad either. Gamers&Anime 42 It is the story of high school student Kuromine Asahi who literally cannot tell a lie. Whether he is trying to maintain a poker face in a simple game of cards, or keeping gossips to himself. Asahi is a total failure when it comes to the art of deception. He is not able to hide from his friends about his crush Shiragami Youko. July 2016
