Review: Gunz 2 2

After the great success of Gunz, MAIET Entertainment brings us the sequel by the name of Gunz 2: The Second Duel, a game that combines the mechanics of a real time MMO to the ones of a FPS and has as a result something they like to call a Third Person Duelist Shooter or TPDS. This exquisite combination of game modes introduce the player to a world where everything is possible, all the way from defying the laws of gravity with stunning stunts to fighting among terrifying mythical creatures that won’t hesitate to devour you.

The game released its Open Beta version on Steam the 17th of February 2014. The amount of simultaneous downloads almost hit the 30 000 downloads per hour mark and thus Steam had to open a secondary port due to overflow. This hasn’t happened since the full release of Dark Souls in 2011.

The game’s lore is rather shallow. It’s set in a gloomy post apocalyptic era, a very overused scene by game developers lately, where the few humans that survived are gathered in clans.
