Performance Centre was one of the most
popular venues at the 2017 Canada
Summer Games and it’s now open for
Manitoba’s best hockey players.
In fact, the best players in the province
are already there. Trainer Jeff Wood spent
the summer with a professional group
that included No. 2 overall NHL draft
pick Nolan Patrick along with national
women’s team star Bailey Bram, European
stars Adam Hughesman and Brendan
Shinnimin, AHL goaltender Chris
Driedger and future pros Adam Brooks,
Chase Harrison and Ryan Kubic.
“It’s amazing,” said Neepawa Natives
veteran defenseman Kruz Listmayer. “I’ve
been coming here for three years now and
the new gym facility is just great. The staff
has always been outstanding, but the gym
was old and dark. Now, this place is huge,
