CONCUSSIONS IN AUSTRALIA LAST SUMMER
There are some of us who consider Slap Shot to be the
greatest motion picture ever made. It is, at least, the
greatest hockey movie in history. Still, it’s amazing, when
you watch it on late night TV these days, that the movie,
made in 1977, still holds up. Yep, 2017 is the 40th
Anniversary of Slap Shot and it’s also amazing that many of
the motion picture’s stars are still around, bringing laughs to
hockey fans everywhere. This summer, the 40th Anniversary
of Slap Shot Caravan will arrive in Winnipeg for a golf
tournament and an autograph session in an effort to raise
funds and awareness for the Stopconcussions Foundation
and the Shoot for a Cure Campaign. We can’t wait.
